moving the BLOG!!!!

So as you may have heard I am moving the address of my blog. I am moving on to a blog that will better suite my needs and wants.... I am excited about this move and have already moved over the

 Nap Time Productions... 

Anyways today I took today off as one it is Mothers Day and two I am sick.... 

I hope you all enjoyed your mothers day Mommy's and Daddy's I hope you all made sure your wives and mothers were well taken care of today!

Day Seventeen

So after a frustrating night trying to just post pictures to the blog in a fashion I thought looked nice.... My little Sparrow talked me into changing blog hosts.... I am now in the process of moving my blog from Blogger here... to WordPress.... I am already much happier with the things I can do over there vs. what I want to do over here and can't.... so While I am in the process of the making and moving of my blog I will still post here and once I am done setting it up I will post links and you all can check it out!

Just had to share this she was trying so hard to get to the watermelons today at the grocery store...
oh I just knew being able to down load from my phone would be fun for my blog too... Just you all wait....

Blogger for my Android!!!

Okay this could be a very cool find for me..... I have wanted a way to blog while I was out & about.....
Now to see if I can add photos from my phone too......

So I posted that I missed Day 8, my day 9 post was rather Blah... so I thought I would post a few pictures here on my main page to share....

Day Eight a miss

Day Eight of the 30 day challenge.....

OMG this day has totally ran away from me... So I am still awake and really my day has not ended but I am playing honest as I can and day eight ended at 11:59pm on May the 2nd. It is now 2:01am on May 3rd.
I have good reason for missing today. At Nap Time I was working on photographs of my princess.
after nap time I took Princess shopping for heals to wear with a prom dress for a Prom she may not go to because the boyfriend is not aloud to go???
I had dinner with all my girls, then took the Tink to Big 5 sports to by new shoes for Lacrosse... (they are neon green) After returning home I jumped on the teens to get their chores done, I then gave Little Bug a bath, dressed for bed and had her in bed by 9:00pm... I then got a phone call asking if I was still working on a invitation for a very special young woman. (I was) I then got on G+ with the mother of said special young woman and we put the finishing touches on said invite.....
After all that work I then jumped on Desktop computer and emailed special files my Pool Boy needed at his work.... jumped back on laptop and researched what lab I want to print the invites I worked so hard on.... and well before I knew it my Pool Boy was walking in the door! Eek where did my time go????
So I will promote the others who are in the challenge on my Facebook and G+ account because by all rights I missed my day eight by two hours... So here are the others who are on the challenge as well....

30 Day Blog Challenge

Hey all so you know I am doing a 30 day blog challenge and it now has a its own title page.... 
so check out The Nap Time Production, as that is where all my entries for the 30 day challenge will go.... 


Now on to Photography related news. I have been working on a special project for a dear dear friend of mine and I spent most of last night on a G+ Hangout with my step sister working on this project. I have to say that I love G+ Hangouts... (Google is not paying me to say this, I really do love it)
It is kind of like Skype, (not ever having Skyped before I may be wrong) I love that I can video chat with my friends &/or family. I really love that I can share my screen view with who ever I am Hanging out with and get pointers or just share my work live and have a conversation about it.
Anyways I am rambling and nap time is almost over as I hear her talking to her toys in her bed as I am typing....
Last night while in my Hangout with my step sister working on this special project I discovered I like making invitations... and Timeline Covers for Facebook. So tonight I am going to work on a few personal pictures for my Madness's Lacrosse team and maybe make a few new timeline covers for Facebook...
I am also making a new tab for my pictures and for your viewing pleasure... (as soon as I learn how to add my own flash HTML to my blog, then I will be rocking!)
Until the the gallery is the way I want it I am just going to post random pictures I have shot and love... or random projects I am working on in the Out & About Art page.

Last nights project still under construction.....

30 day blog challenge.

So as if my life is not crazy enough I see a challenge and for what ever reason I feel I have to take that challenge on today.

What is the challenge you ask??? Well another photographer friend, (acquaintance really, with hope she becomes my friend) saw that some one was starting a 30 day VLOG (video blog) Challenge. While I now have a way to do video blog, I like her idea of  taking it down a notch and doing just a 30 Blog Challenge. I know I don't blog near as often as I should. I am lucky if I remember to up date my blog once a month much less every day. Heck I know I am being super honest with all of you but why not?


 So how does this 30 day blog challenge work? Well it is fairly simple I have to blog for 30 consecutive days I will be held accountable for my blog entries. Should I miss a day I will have to promote my soon to be friends blog on my Facebook, Twitter and G+ pages, and vice versa.  How good are you at blogging?  If you want to join us you can .  Here is a link to her blog.... Photography by Joncee May, Go there leave a link to your blog and she will make a list for us all to keep track of each other. (I am so glad she has that part figured out, somedays I can't even keep track of my self.)


Because I am not a religious blogger I hope this challenge will help me learn more about my blog, myself, and my photography.


Well with all that said I think I need to through in a quick round of info. I for personal reasons am no long a business, however don't fret.... I will still be willing to take your family portraits, or pictures of special occasions. I just need some time to take care of some personal issues, and life in general.

I have started a Gallery with Smug Mug and I love it. Smug Mug does a wonderful job of showing off my portraits, and linked into my new editing software, life is much easier and a tad bit faster.

Well I don't know about you but I have spring fever. I have enjoyed some much need time out with my camera and a few of my favorite clients. I really am enjoying the spring flowers starting to pop up in my yard and hope that they will soon be all a bloom in the local parks.

A Few New Changes

  So I have made a few changes over the last couple of months. While I will still be happy to photograph your family, your babies, I am looking at expanding to new fun and fabulous things in the world of photography art.

 I have branched out to new uncharted territories for myself; I recently tried my eye in the world of wedding photography. I was blessed with a wonderful mentor whose work I have been following for a while now. I think I photographed the world’s calmest bride ever. I enjoyed the experience and all the tools my mentor gave me over the weekend.

 With that said I have accepted a booking for a destination wedding in July, I am very excited for the opportunity to work with this very special bride and groom. I am looking forward to the shoots we have set up leading up to their big day.

I love being behind the lens of my camera. I love capturing special moments in time, that sweet smile of a baby learning something new. I enjoy chatting with the teens who share their secrets with me while I catch those amazing smiles that only come when they are thinking of their current love... I really enjoy the young children being their selves dancing in the grass or looking at fish in a pond. What is more fun than a sweet child showing you how many times they can spin around before they fall down?

However, like I said before, I am trying a few new things. I have found that while at home with my now one year old baby and my ever busy teens I stay up late in the quite hours of my home working on portraits learning new techniques and mastering them.

Then there are those nights when I have all my work done and find that the quietness of my home at night is too much to bare, what ever should I do? Well learn more techniques, explore my art-form.  Aside from exploring the world of wedding photography I find that I really enjoy the peacefulness of our city at night.

I am exploring art photography now and maybe even try my hand at HDR photography. So as I explore some new skills I thought I would start a new window for you all to follow my explorations. It will be the Out & About Art tab.  Here Prints will be available for purchase if you find one you just have to have. I hope that you will enjoy my explorations as much as I do.

Please feel free to call and make your next portrait session with me.  I look forward to working with you all this year. Who knows you may inspire my next piece of art.

So I have been enjoying some much needed time with my family. I have been working on my youngest daughters book about her first year of life. Very exciting for us as a family. While some big changes are in store for Out & About Photography, you my wonderful customers are sure to enjoy the new proofing gallery for easy viewing of your portraits and for easy sharing with friends and family.

I am looking forward to all the big changes yet to come... I know your wondering what I am talking about but this is all I can say for right now...

Under Construction...

Hey all I am under construction right now. Me personally, I am renewing myself in my photography right now to better serve you. So while I am under construction I will only be making small posts showing a little bit of what I am up too.

If you have an appointment with me already scheduled I will keep that appointment, should you have a certificate I will still let you use it and book your appointment.


Some wonderful learning opportunities  have come my way and in order to take full advantage of them I had to limit what I am doing here.

Happy New Year!

Oh boy another New Year is here. I can't believe how fast time is flying by. I just wanted to take a moment and share with you some exciting changes coming to Out & About Photography. This year I plan on several referral programs for you and your friends. I am still putting it all together but its going to be good. I am also moving the proofing gallery once more and I think the new site will be best for you my customers and make ordering your prints easy for both of us. I hear the most wonderful things about the new print lab that I will be now using in the 2012 year. They come with the highest recommendations from some of the worlds best photographers. I am most happy to share with you that they are based here in the good ole' USA. I am offering right now a Valentines session. Please email me for your special Valentines session.
